Weblogs: These are also known as online blogs. Blogs represent a method of communicating information and opinions in a web-based form. Wordpress is one such example. People can give you feedback on your writing by liking or adding “comments” to your blogs. Most blogs also allow addition of media( like images) to go with the contents of your blog.

Microblogging sites allow writing shorter blogs unlike regular blogs that are much longer. It is often even referred as ‘short-burst communication'. The most familiar is Twitter. It has a 140 character limit. Thus, the messages cannot be very long.

On Twitter, anyone may follow anyone, but for creditable and timely information, your “follower” may be the most important resource.

A follower is another Twitter user who can follow you on Twitter. Your ‘following number’ tells the quantity of other Twitter users you have chosen to follow on the Twitter site.

Twitter handle is the username or your digital identity that you choose on Twitter. “The @ sign is used to call out usernames in Tweets, like this: Hello @Twitter!

Beyond following specific individuals, Twitter hash tags allow you to go deeper in your area of interests. Examples of hash tags are: #health, #parents, #youth, #edtech, #math
